My Antennas
WWL:JO59EK, 95 masl. November 2007
This is my Cushcraft R8 eight band vertical, almost 9 meters tall, and in the background you can see my FD-4 off center fed (OCF) dipole for 80, 40, 20 and 10 meters. After many years in apartments with all kinds of restrictions, I now have my own house where I can put up whatever I like without anybody having any say in it. I have fairly low ange takeoff in all directions. It's an excellent QTH, or at least it seems like it now. The image on the far right is from my shack window, facing north.

WWL:JO59FJ, 40 masl. February 2005 (Old antenna system)
This is my old system, an attic multiband parallell dipole. Since I had very little room for antennas, and lived in a rented appartment, I had to rely on small and almost invisible HF antennas. I tried a variety of antenna types, but ended up with the paralell dipole and the 26.5 metre long wire shown below. On this system I have worked all continents and more than 150 DXCC. I.e. it works good. The parallell dipole antenna is for 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m, 10m and 6 meters, main lobes pointing north/south.
Here you can see my AH2 automatic antenna tuner, feeding a 26.5 metre long wire, going from the tuner, out the window and down to a tree about 2 metres above the ground. There were also a few radials/counterpoises lying around up there, 10, 5.2, 2 and 1 meter long. This wire wass tunable to anything from 160 meters to 10 meters, and worked quite well. I used it mostly on the low bands
